Text Message Reminders -

We are in the process of appointing a new provider, this should hopefully be up and running by mid January 2019.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause

Walk In Policy

Newbyres Medical Group

Walk in Patients

Patients cannot be seen without an appointment.

We do not provide a “walk in” service. Please telephone for an appointment before coming to the surgery.

If you have an urgent problem that you feel must be dealt with today, you will be asked to speak to the duty doctor.

This is best done over the telephone so that we can assure that a doctor is available when you arrive. Sometimes these problems can be dealt with over the telephone but, if not, an appointment will be offered at an appropriate time.

If you have had a significant accident or injury (especially one that might need stitched or an xray) then you should attend the A&E department at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Little France OR (for children under 13 years) A&E at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Sciennes Road, Edinburgh
